DR. STEPHANEBACH

General Project Coordinator

A specialist in Public Health and graduate of Aix-Marseille University, Dr. Bach is an experienced healthcare entrepreneur. He is the founder of Obesity Care Clinic and Digital Data Solutions (Mauritius), operating in telemedicine, digital marketing, and international medical services. As the project lead, he oversees all strategic operations and manages relationships with investors, banks (EIB, World Bank), and institutional partners.

DR. THIERRYMANOS

Medical Director

An internationally recognized interventional gastroenterologist, Dr. Manos is a co-founder of Obesity Care Clinic. He is also co-inventor of the BariTon device, a non-surgical endoscopic alternative to bariatric surgery, and co-founder of Bariatek Biotech. Within CVMI, he supervises the clinical framework, care pathways, and relationships with national and international medical professionals.

DR. CHRISTOPHEBASTID

Government And Institutional Relations (Cape Verde)

Senior hepatogastroenterologist at CHU La Timone (Marseille) and Honorary Consul of Cape Verde in France, Dr. Bastid plays a key diplomatic and institutional role. He is also co-inventor of the BariTon device and co-founder of Bariatek Biotech. He leads all relations with the Cape Verdean government and public institutions. A strategic on-site mission is scheduled for June to consolidate political and administrative support for CVMI.

DR. JOSESAMPOL

Academic And Research Partnerships

Professor of Hematology and biomedical entrepreneur, Prof. Sampol is the founder of several biotech and diagnostics companies, including JSBIO. At CVMI, he is responsible for partnerships with academic institutions (e.g., Aix-Marseille), the development of medical training programs, and the research and innovation strategy of the medical center.

DR. JEROMESAMPOL

Dialysis Program Director

A nephrologist and head of several dialysis centers (ATUP-C, Institut Phocéen), Dr. Sampol is also founder of Freestone, a company focused on nephrology technology. He is in charge of building a comprehensive dialysis service at CVMI, with a focus on quality of life, vacation/tourism integration, remote monitoring, and international partnerships.
